Specializing in Nepalese and Indian food, we take the lead in experienced cooks, with our skilled chef’s trained in the traditional cooking techniques of Indian cuisine. Keeping with the authentic heritage of India, our chefs hand-ground our spices using traditional Indian practices. In our kitchen, we believe in serving dishes without a lot of oil or butter, but upholding the rich and flavorful tastes through the use of spices.
As Berlin has reigned itself as an international city, we realized that Nepalese and Indian were not properly represented in this great, culturally diverse city. We decided that we wanted to share the experience and taste of Nepalese and Indian food and in 2013, we opened our restaurant, Krishna. We came up with the name after the Hindu God, Lord Krishna, who is the embodiment of love and divine joy. This is essentially what we put into every dish that we serve, so we felt that Krishna truly represented our feelings towards our cuisine. Under the direction of Sangita Vij, she made sure that our five-star menu and talented cooks indulge and spoil guests with the genuine tastes of Nepalese and Indian dishes.
We want our guest to have an unforgettable experience, so we made sure to have all our bases covered. Thinking of reserving for a birthday, engagement or anniversary? No problem, Krishna comfortably accommodates up to sixty guests in its’ contemporary Indian-styled space, as well an additional fifty guests on our outdoor terrace. Having a wedding, party or charity event? We also provide catering services for any of your special occasions. Don’t feel like going out to eat? We have that covered too. Krishna offers takeaway, leaving you with the feeling and taste of Kathmandu, Mumbai, and Delhi right in the comfort of your own home. During the work week lunch hours, we understand that you may be in a bit of a rush. We offer lunch specials which are designed for those quick eat and run meals.
